Corrections
Short answer
Tell us the page, the figure and, if you have it, the document that shows the right value. If we got it wrong, we fix the page, move its updated date and log the fix below. Corrections logged so far: none.
How do I report an error?
Email info@hottubfinder.com. Four things settle it fastest:
- The page, or its address.
- The figure or sentence you think is wrong.
- What you think it should say.
- The document that shows it: the maker's spec sheet, owner's manual, warranty or filing, if you have it.
Every figure on the site links to the document it was read from, so most reports are easy to settle. Makers and dealers can send a current spec sheet the same way.
What happens after I report one?
We re-read the source and anything you sent, then do one of three things.
- We were wrong: the page is fixed, its updated date moves, and the fix is logged below with the date, what the page said and what it says now.
- The maker changed it: a new model year or a revised document is an update, not a correction. The page is updated and shows in the update log.
- The maker's documents disagree: we publish both answers with both sources, as we do for every contradiction we find.
Corrections log
None yet. When a published figure is corrected, it is listed here with the date, the page, what it said and what it says now.
Fixes made before launch, during the second-pass audit of the hot tub catalog, are described on how we verify every figure.
Common questions
How do I report an error on HotTubFinder.com?
Use the contact page. Name the page and the figure, say what you think it should be, and send the maker's document that shows it if you have one.
What counts as a correction?
A figure or statement we published that was wrong when we published it. A maker changing its own specification is an update, and two maker documents that disagree are published side by side as a conflict.
