Intex PureSpa and SimpleSpa inflatable hot tubs
Short answer
Intex lists 11 inflatable hot tubs on its US site: 10 PureSpa sets and one SimpleSpa. All run a 1,300 W heater, hold 210 or 290 gallons, stop at 104°F and carry a 1- or 2-year warranty on the whole spa.

How fast does an Intex hot tub heat up?
2–3°F an hour for the 210-gallon 4-person sets and 1.1–2°F for the 290-gallon 6-person ones, by Intex's manuals. Every model uses the same 1,300 W heater, so the bigger tub warms slower. That heater can add at most 2.5°F an hour to 210 gallons and 1.8°F to 290 before any heat escapes, which is why the 6-person figures are so low. The spa draws up to 13 amps. Most household circuits are 15 to 20 amps; keep other big loads off the spa's circuit.
What's the difference between the Intex models?
Most of the PureSpa pages describe the same tub: a puncture-resistant 3-ply laminated wall held in shape by Intex's Fiber-Tech internal beams. What changes is the equipment. The basic Bubble Massage sets have a tilt-adjustable control panel and a hard-water system that Intex says reduces calcium build-up. 7 models add the Intex Link app. 4 have a built-in saltwater sanitizer; the rest take a conversion kit sold separately. The Onyx Black Octagon Jet and Bubble Deluxe and Calacatta Square Jet and Bubble Deluxe add 4 water jets to the bubble ring.
The SimpleSpa is the stripped-down one: 100 air jets, no hard-water system in its manual, a wall 26 inches tall and a 1-year warranty. Most PureSpa sets ship with an energy-saving cover: a foam-filled outer cover over an inflatable bladder.
What does the Intex warranty cover?
The whole spa: 2 years on 8 of the 11 sets by their current manuals, and 1 year on the SimpleSpa and the older wireless-panel Greywood (28441E). It covers the original buyer only and excludes freeze damage, ordinary wear and commercial use.
Check the card in the box. An older Intex warranty sheet still on its site says 1 year, and the Slate Gray Octagon's product page says 1 year where its manual says 2. We rank that model on the shorter term, which makes 3 sets on 1 year. The wireless Greywood is the only 6-person set among them.
Can an Intex hot tub stay outside in winter?
Not in freezing weather. Intex says you can leave the spa outside only while the air and the water stay above 39°F, with a heat-barrier mat under the floor, and below 32°F air, Intex recommends not using the spa. There is no freeze-protection mode. If you need a tub that can stay up through a hard winter, see the cold-weather pick on best inflatable hot tubs.

Common questions
How many amps does an Intex hot tub use?
Up to 13 amps on a 120-volt outlet, by Intex's manuals. Most household circuits are 15 to 20 amps, so keep other big loads off that circuit and never use an extension cord.
How long does an Intex hot tub take to heat?
Intex lists 2–3°F an hour for its 4-person spas and 1.1–2°F for the 6-person ones, so a fresh fill from 60°F needs roughly 15 to 22 hours in the 4-person size.
Can you leave an Intex hot tub outside in winter?
Only above 39°F. Intex says not to use the spa when the air or water is 39°F or colder, recommends against using it below 32°F air, and its warranty excludes freeze damage.
Which Intex hot tubs have water jets?
Two: the Onyx Black Octagon Jet and Bubble Deluxe and Calacatta Square Jet and Bubble Deluxe, each with 4 water jets as well as the air bubble ring. Every other Intex model is air bubbles only.
