What sets the A Series apart?
Core JetPak line, redesigned for 2023, sold in Select, Choice with luxury package, and Choice trims (A9L is Select-only).
- 16 JetPak choices. Buyers pick from 16 interchangeable JetPaks and can move or upgrade them later; jet totals depend on the JetPaks fitted.
- Touchscreen on every trim. All three trims include the premium touchscreen control; Select adds premium lighting functions and inductively-lit JetPak headrests.
- Simplicity filtration. In-wall flat filter with dual intakes that Bullfrog says uses nearly all of its media and frees seating space.
What to watch
- Trim level changes a lot. Choice trims get standard cabinetry, bezels, lighting and fewer JetPaks; compare the trim, not just the model name.
- Circulation pump and ozone optional. The WellSpring dedicated filtration pump and WellSpring ozone are listed as options; without that pump, jet pump 1 runs on low to filter and heat.
- Audio optional. A Series Premium Audio is an add-on, not included on any trim.
How do the 9 models differ?
Seating runs from 3 in the A5D to 9 in the A9L. A5D, A6L, A7D, A7L, A8L and A9L have a lounger; A6, A7 and A8 are open seating. A5D, A6 and A6L run one jet pump; A7D, A7L, A8L, A7 and A8 run two jet pumps; A9L runs three jet pumps.
Jet counts run from 31 (A9L) to 196 (A7). More jets on the same pumps split the same flow across more nozzles, so sit in the seats you would use and run the jets before you choose by the count.

Bullfrog builds the structure into a separate ABS EnduraFrame with extra supports under high-use seats, then fully encases the acrylic shell in closed-cell foam. The shell warranty promises no leaks rather than structural integrity. Full foam also means a tech has to cut foam away to reach a plumbing leak.

Bullfrog never says whether its joints are glued PVC or barbed fittings with clamps, and the manual only tells you to hand-tighten a leaking fitting. One outside site claims glued and clamped lines, with nothing to back it up. Ask a dealer to open the equipment bay and show you.

Manifold-fed jetsEach seat feeds from a manifold, but seats may run in seriesPartly
Every JetPak gasket seats into the H2Air manifold instead of splicing into a hose run, and the jets inside a pack feed off that manifold. Bullfrog's own older patent shows the seat manifolds chained one to the next along the supply line. Whether current tubs still do that is not published.

Standard partsStandard controls and pumps, but JetPaks are Bullfrog-onlyPartly
Boards, topside panels, pumps, motors, jets and filters are industry-standard parts any tech can buy. The JetPaks, the H2Air manifold and the frame are patented Bullfrog designs that independent retailers do not stock. Routine repairs stay cheap and easy, while anything JetPak-related goes back through the dealer.

Bullfrog's parts store sells shell jet bodies with nuts and gaskets for fixed-jet seats. A JetPak lifts out whole and seals to the shell with a gasket. How the jets attach inside the pack isn't published, and packs are sold only complete.

Adjustable jetsShell jets adjust one by one; a JetPak's jets share one valvePartly
Foot, hip, calf and wrist jets molded into the shell turn like normal jets. Inside a JetPak, one valve in the lower housing raises or lowers flow for that whole seat, and it will not shut off completely. So you get per-seat control, not per-jet control.

Service networkDealers do the service, and only they stock the JetPak partsPartly
Bullfrog sells through authorized dealers and its own factory stores, and the manual sends every warranty issue to them. Manuals are published free and commodity parts are easy to source, which helps an independent tech. The proprietary JetPak and manifold parts are not widely stocked outside the network.
