The warranty
Structure warranties on the 186 swim spas we track run 5 years to lifetime; labor runs 6 months to 5 years, and none of the 117 that address transfers allows one.
A swim spa warranty is several warranties on one card. The years matter less than who pays labor, travel, removal and cranes.
What it is
A swim spa warranty stacks separate promises on one card: structure, shell surface, equipment, plumbing, jets, cabinet, and sometimes the swim system on its own. Each line has its own years and says whether it pays parts only or parts and labor. Master Spas' 2026 card for its H2X Trainer and Challenger models reads 10 years on structure, 7 on the shell surface and 5 on equipment and plumbing. PDC lists 35 years on structure and 3 on labor for its TruSwim TSX19.
Why it matters
Warranty fine print matters more on a swim spa than on a hot tub, because a swim spa can't go back to a shop. A structure warranty that replaces a failed shell may still leave you the bill to get the old one out: Master Spas' card puts removal and replacement labor on the owner, along with any damage to decking or fencing. Its dealers may charge travel, and access charges apply if the spa isn't reasonably reachable. Transfers matter if you sell the house; Master Spas' warranty ends when the spa is sold or moved.
Read the structure wording too. A promise that the spa won't lose water covers leaks, not a crack that hasn't leaked yet. Then read what voids it. Endless Pools voids coverage when anyone other than an authorized representative attempts repairs, and damage from a clogged filter or unapproved chemicals is excluded on both brands' terms.
How makers do it
Long structure term with parts and labor
The good wayTen years or more on structure, labor included. PDC lists 35 years on TruSwim structure; Artesian lists lifetime on the TidalFit Core Swimmer.
Parts-only lines
AcceptableThe part is free; shipping and installation are yours. Master Spas covers H2X jet internals and skirting this way.
Tiered terms within one brand
AcceptableCheaper lines get shorter terms. Master Spas' H2X Therapool carries 7 years on structure and 3 on equipment, against 10 and 5 on the Trainer and Challenger.
First owner, first address only
AvoidCoverage ends if the spa is sold or moved. Master Spas' H2X warranty works this way.

Check this
- Read the actual warranty document for this model year, not the brochure summary.
- Find each line's years, and whether it pays parts only or parts and labor.
- Find who pays removal and reinstallation if the structure fails, and what voids it.
Ask this
- Who does warranty work here: your own technicians or a contractor?
- On a covered repair in year three, what would I pay out of pocket?
- Is the swim system covered as equipment, or on its own shorter term?

How each brand does it

Where it gets complicated
Long structure terms get the headlines, yet pumps, heaters and plumbing usually fail years before a shell does, so the equipment and labor years matter more to most owners. A 35-year or lifetime promise is only as good as the company's life.
